3rd Party Shaders [SOLVED]

Postby DonGray » Thu Nov 21, 2013 12:35 am

Hi,
I started to use the trial of amplify texture, but noticed most of my shaders are not standard Unity shaders.
I downloaded the example of how to change a 3rd party shader to fit AT,
but I do not write shaders or code at all.
Most likely not much I can do to make them compatible?

Hi Don,

We'll be happy to help you convert some of the shaders for you, if you end up pre-ordering.

In the long term, however, we're looking to add our own nodes to ShaderForge in order to let anyone build or adapt shaders in a more user friendly fashion.

Thank you for your interest in AT!

Have you looked at adapting your shaders to Jove 2?

Hello Licarell,

Regarding PBS, our focus is currently on Alloy, Skyshop and Lux. We would certainly love to support as many frameworks as possible but we will have to revisit this one at a later stage.

Jove is an excellent framework; I'll be sure to get in touch with you when we begin testing it.

Well Jove 2 is no longer just a PBS system but a whole new rendering pipeline... It's focused for higher end systems/games with DX11 only.

It can have literally hundreds of lights with no hit on performance.

If you haven't checked it out yet I think you need to look at it closer, this product would look fantastic with the Jove 2 render system.

Indeed, I had my eye on it since the earlier versions. Really cool stuff, it would be great to support it.
