Normal map appears to change colors randomly

Postby kevin3d » Fri Nov 03, 2017 10:58 pm

Hello,

i just purchased amplify shader. Im having issue with the normal map suddenly changing color.
I'm using 2 uv sets, 1 is the UV0 channel for regular tiling textures. The only is UV3 for trim sheet texture i have created. You can see that the model has this odd reflection to it, and im assuming thats due to the normal map color being weird. Any idea whats happening? i can't seem to fix it. Even after reimporting the texture.

Hello Kevin,

Thank you for getting in touch and for your support!

The UV Set 3 is used by Realtime GI Data, and since you are using the "Generate Lightmap UV's" you will have to set it to 4 in ASE in order to use the fourth channel.

Also, from the BaseMaterial[Normal Node], it seems that your texture might not be set to normal. Be sure that the Unpack Normals option is toggled in the node parameters.

Please let me know if this information was helpful and if you manage to sort out this issue, thanks!
