Color and Bloom error messages in runtime (Unity 2017)

Hi,

On Unity 2017.1.0p1, there are error messages in the output_log.txt of the build during runtime.

[AmplifyColor] Failed to initialize shaders. Please attempt to re-enable the Amplify Color Effect component. If that fails, please reinstall Amplify Color.

[AmplifyBloom] Bloom Composition shader not found

Are both of these supported for Unity 2017? Or is it only supported for Unity 5.6?

I am using the latest versions below:
Amplify Color v1.6.6.002
Amplify Bloom v1.1.2.001

Thank you

Hello!

I've just tested the latest trial and full versions of Amplify Color and Amplify Bloom on Unity 2017.1.0p1 and wasn't able to replicate your issue, so I'll need some more information.

What's the target platform?

Does re-importing the packages solve the problem?

Do you get any error messages in the console after doing the build?

Can you replicate the issue in a plain project with a simple scene?
If so, please share that sample with us.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi!

I was able to do a build for a very simple scene with both Amplify Color and Bloom, and the run-time had no errors in Unity 2017.1.0p1 for Windows platform

So it works!

I think I have discovered the reason why the original error messages shows up. In the original build, an message did show in the console:
"Serialized file size of 4.51 GB (4839233624 bytes) exceeds maximum. File name: Temp/StagingArea/Data/resources.assets. " ...

So it seems to be a Unity specific issue due to maximum serialized file sizes of resources.assets that causes side-effects.

Thank you so much for the response. By the way, Amplify Color and Bloom looks amazing!
